Thesis Submission for Examination UPM

Alhamdulillah... After a few years struggled for completing the thesis draft, today, 10 June 2014, I have an opportunity to submit it. A lot of beautiful moments I could remember for finalizing it. Even the bad and tough moments shifted to sweet memory. Why? Because it taught me how preserver am I to face the challenges. I learnt who is the true companions, how to ponder the messages, as well as t caught with the systems. Indeed, without the permission given by the Almighty, I cannot afford to go through all of these challenges. I pray Allah makes ease for the examiners in reviewing my thesis and lastly helping me during the viva voice. And of course, give success to me. Allahu Akbar, I have done as maximum I can, I just pass to you and hopefully you grant me the happiness as to finish my master degree as soon as possible. Ameen.

Next step, preparation for the viva, as well as writing articles based on the thesis findings. Hopefully, all planned could be achieved smoothly. In Shaa Allah.

# In UPM, after I filled up the 14a form, the Chairman of the supervisory committee will nominate the examiners. Then the Institute will endorse and deliberate it to the JKPS meeting. From the Information got from the SGS staff on thesis, the meeting for the endorsement of examiners will be held twice a month. For my case, the meeting is on 12 as well as 22 of the month if I am not mistaken. Please make yourself always asking SGS for that information.

Thereafter, I filled up 15a form  with one form that showed evidences your articles were submitted, accepted, published or sent to publication. Dont forget to run turnitin text similarity because you have to provide 4 copies to SGS with 4 thesis as well as CD.

Hopefully, the viva can be done less than 2 month of the date of thesis submission. In Shaa Allah.

Please Stay on the Right Line

Allahurabbi,  I need to settle a lot of things for the first quarter of this year. hurrmm 2014 I meant. Finally I got my first comment of the thesis draft today from the chairman of the supervisory committee. What could I said about this news. First, I have to berlapang dada  and try to understand what are the messages the supervisor was going to deliver. Masyaallah, it is very tough to accept IT. With the time for  finishing my study is around the corner, I got  a lot of things to do. The comments have shown that  a lot of things particularly on the rearrangement of the thesis need to be modified because of that. I do not know where to start actually because many parts of the thesis body will be reconstructed. Ya Allah, please make me myself be strong to strive in this journey. Only You have the absolute power to do anything and therefore I seek assitance from You to survive succefully.

Keep Yourself Busy

Alhamdulillah. My meeting with committee meeting for my thesis yesterday was running smoothly. By the way, a lot of things need to be done for the time being due to time constrain that cannot be avoided anymore. Staring from now, I must keep myself busy. That is the most important advice I got from my supervisors. Hopefully, I can submit my thesis on time.

By having said this, I have to start  not to do silly matters. My focus now is getting information and enhancing my thesis drafts. I know Allah , the Most Exalted is always with me. Many supports especially from my husbands, family and my friends can boost my spirit to write and write, understand, and make sure the data is reliable and valid. For my handsome-little boy, you are my inspiration to end up this journey. Even though you cannot talk yet, but your acts deliver a lot of meanings. :)

So, what else? Keep Yourself Busy

BOOK AND PC FAIR UPM 2013

Coincidentally, after meeting with Dr. Suhaimi, I went to Dewan Besar UPM. For what? huhuhu. Book shopping time. Since my car was parked  on the left side of the hall, thus it was easy for me to go there. It looked like students were happy buying gadgets like pen-drive  hp housings and so forth because they have RM250 additional money from BB1M given by government. Me too.. huhuhu

Firstly, my intention was to buy pen-drive to be used in my car. But, what happened next? yezzzzzaaaa... I bought other things that were not in my lists anymore. 100%  WAS EXACLTY NOT. But, the things that I bought more useful that pendrive that was being a major target.

With the BB1M, I spent  RM100 for books and used RM38 for replacing old car wipers to a new one. Unfortunately, the sellers provided service to replace the wipers. Alhamdulillah. Allah is the Most Exalted. For the book booths, the most exciting booth that attracted me a lots id Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP).  This is owing to offering unreasonable discounts for each books. I felt like want to get all the books. But, my husband warned me to be  more.selective . huhuhu.. ok ok ok..

Last but not least, I gonna go again to fetch  another thing. Insyaallah.

HIDE IN WORDS IN MICROSOFT WORD

Today, I got a new knowledge. Alhamdulillah. How to hide in certain words in document. Actually. I got from one english website about it. To ensure, aku tak lupa in the future, I will copy and paste here. Hopefully, it can assist other who confronts matters like me. Indeed, Mrs. google is very helpful.

Hide text in Word 2007

First open any document you might have that has a fair amount of text in it. Here’s what my document looks like before I hide any text.
word 2007 text
Highlight the text that you would like to hide and then right-click and choose Font.
hidden text word
In the Font dialog box, you’ll see the Hidden checkbox in the Effects section. Go ahead and check that.
hide text word
Click OK and POOF, your text is now gone! All I am left with is one paragraph and no sign of the first paragraph.

View Hidden Text in Word

Ok that’s great, but how the heck do you get your hidden text back into view!? It’s pretty easy actually. Press CTRL + A to highlight the text in the entire document and then right-click on a highlighted portion and choose Font again. This time you will see the Hidden checkbox does not have a check mark in it, but is instead fully green.
view hidden text
Clicking on it once will change it into a check mark, which means all the text in the document would be hidden and clicking on it again will remove the check mark, meaning no text in the document should be hidden.
view hidden text word
Now my first paragraph comes back in the selected region. So that’s great, but how do you prevent others from doing this and viewing the hidden text? Well that’s easy too. You can just protect the document so no one can change the formatting and editing. That way, if they can’t change any formatting, they won’t be able to unhide the text even if they know how to do it. It will allow them to view the document, but restrict access to all other editing features.
Click on the Review tab and click on Protect Document at the far right. Choose Restrict Formatting and Editing.
restrict formatting
Click the Limit formatting to a selection of styles and click on the Settings button.
limit formatting
Check the box again and click on None to make sure nothing can be changed in terms of formatting and style.
limit formatting word
Click OK and then check the box Allow only this type of editing in the document and leave it as No Changes.
no changes protect document
Finally, click on the Yes, Start Enforcing Protection button and enter a password to protect the Word document. Make sure the password is very long and complicated as there are lots of password crackers out there that can hack short passwords.
enforce protection
Your hidden text is now securely hidden and cannot be viewed unless the security password is known by the user. Enjoy!
