Re-Run Turnitin for Thesis Submission after Viva Voce

Alhamdulillah. Done for my correction stage in one month after receiving the viva voce report from the chairman of the examination committee. After get approval from the supervisor, as well as the internal examiners on the correction made, today, I run again the thesis in turnitin. All is well. Thanks God. 

What I am going to share with you is my experience in doing the turnitin. Although it is short and simple, but it is important in ensuring that the draft is not redundant with the existing turnitin report done before we submit to the SGS for viva. As such, I have consulted the liason officer in PSAS UPM library for the clarity. Thanks to God again because after the explanation, I realized that I cannot simply run my turnitin in another new assignment created by the supervisor because it can create double draft in one time in the server. So, if I did it, urrh, problems to me. 

Ok, so now , what I need to do.. Hurmm, here I will share with all of the readers the steps that need to be followed (actually this only my case, may be another student may have different styles). Since the existing account  of mine has already expired, so my beloved supervisor has to renew it first. In order to ensure all the process done smoothly, I made a tutorial first with the liason librarian officer, then I explain it to my supervisor. So, it saved my time a lots. ALHAMDULILLAH


  • Ensure you have already create your turnitin account. The are 3 things you need to get from your supervisor and save in your phone are; Class Name, Class id, and Enrollment password
  • Ok, then, meet your supervisor and do together with her/him how to renew the date of the turnitin.
  • In your supervisor account, a) choose your class name....find and choose the button edit on the right side....then you will find the class end date (please renew the expiry date)...then click submit, b) then go back to class name again...on your right...choose more actions...edit setting...at the due date.. change the due date
  • ok then go to the optional settings...please find 'submit paper to'... then choose 'no repository'.
  • Again, please find 'generate originality report for student submission'.. then choose ' immediately can overwrite report until due date'
Ok, after I did all these things, alhamdulillah I can submit the new draft successfully.

PAGE NUMBER UNTUK SPESIFIK MUKA SURAT

Hari ni ida nak citer pasal nak letak page pada muka surat yang specific. Tengah duk buat correction ni la tiba-tiba page number bertukar. Kadang-kadang ada certain case tu, no. roman jadi tak betul . duk piker macam manalah ida buat sebelum submit tesis untuk viva ritu. Tiba-tiba dah lupa dah setting untuk tu. Tanya cik husbandpun, dia dah lupa camna kawan ofis lama dia buat. Nak tak nak.. kena explore dengan en. Google dululah agar tak menyusahkan orang dengan silly matter camni. Tapi bagi ida yang tak berapa arif tentang IT ni memang jadi isu besar sebenarnya. In fact, Siswazah nak kita jadikan ia satu file jer untuk title page sebelum thesis content tu..

Alhamdulillah. Kerja ida dipermudahkan Allah. Oleh itu, agar benda ni tak hilang begitu saja, dan nak elak daripada benda tu berulang. Ida nak share dengan kengkawang la. Lagipun ia penting untuk perjalan akademik ida nanti.
Ok, jom follow step ni tau. Insyaallah dengan pengetahuan yang dah ada, perlu ada kreativiti la untuk buat semua ni. Mcm susun atur nombor dan sebgainya. Yang ida tunjuk ni asas je tau kenkawangJ

1) Click  kat beginning of the page yang kita nak buat, contoh kat section 2 ------ Click Break------Insert Next Page Break (Sekarang dah jadi section break tu)

2) Click Home- pi kat paragraph button (yang macam symbol ‘p’ terbalik tu, selepas lambang A-TO Z) – cuba tengok akan ada tulis ‘ Section Break Next Page’ dekat last page section pertama----- Then unclick balik symbol ‘p’ terbalik tu.

3) Click Page No.-------- choose Bottom Page----- Select middle------(nombor akan start pada page nombor satu keseluruhan files tu).

4) Untuk jadikan setiap nombor separately pada setiap section ----pergi dekat ‘Design Tab’ ----Click  ‘Link to Previous Page’ (Pastikan bot link to previous page tu tak biru, or it means unclick)----go to ‘Insert Tab’------Page No.-------Click ‘Format Page’-----Then kuar Pop up----- dekat ‘page numbering system., then unclick continuous previous section----then tick start at ----choosing no. 1---Then click ok

5) Kalau previous section nak jadikan takdop page----tekan kat no. page kat previous section tu----delete.
